Welcome to Tyler Schill Private Baseball Instruction

We are a resource for you to become an overall better baseball player with your physical skills, as well as the mental side of this game for you to gain an advantage as a competitor.

Here's what just a few of my colleagues have to say...

  • Steve Springer - Quality At Bats

"Tyler teaches what I teach, HIRE HIM!"

  • Kash Beauchamp- #1 overall pick of 1982 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays

"Tyler is very dedicated to the game of baseball. Tyler has worked extremely hard to maximize his potential and is what I consider an over-achiever, which is one of the primary requirements to be a great coach. If Tyler was in Tulsa, Oklahoma I would hire him in a heartbeat and I highly recommend him as a baseball instructor in all facets of the game. Dude could play too!”

  • Darin Everson- Hitting Coordinator for Colorado Rockies

“I have coached Tyler and worked with him in the past at my camps and I would recommend him to anyone. I wish he would get back into the game. His passion for helping players at any level are top-notch and a valuable asset while developing the proper fundamentals for this game. He understands the amount of repetition this game takes. He will offer top of the line professional instruction to make sure kids go home with proper instruction. He gets it.”

  • Wally Backman- New York Mets

"There is a reason I signed Tyler to play Indy ball for me. He knows the game period."

  • Mike Davenport- Head Baseball Coach of Madison College

“After coaching Tyler at Madison College, I knew he would be a great teacher and coach if he chose to get into this profession.  I was very happy when Tyler decided to coach on our staff at Madison. Tyler has always been a person to want to get better as a player or coach.  He also has the tremendous ability to convey his knowledge to baseball players through his coaching style.”

  • C.J. Thieleke- Hitting Coach for Schaumburg Boomers

“I have been around baseball for 20+ years at various levels of the game from youth to professional baseball. Tyler brings the knowledge necessary to develop kids to reach their highest potential as a player. He has a knack for fundamentals and understanding the key teaching points of the game. He teaches a pro-style game that gets kids where they need to be if they want to play at that next level. He truly understands how to get the best out of who he is working with. He has a mental approach along with the fundamentals to coach at high level.”

  • Scott Doffek- Head Baseball Coach of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

“To be a successful coach at any level it starts with energy and passion for the game. Without question Tyler has always demonstrated that. He has a unique instinct for the game that you can’t teach and he finds ways to relay that for players to understand. He has a true understanding of the game both offensively and defensively. He will have a lot to offer as a coach/instructor.”

  • Phil Gosselin-Infielder/Outfielder Virginia University, Madison Mallards and Atlanta Braves (2010 Draft)

“Tyler helped me understand the mental side of this game on the defensive and offensive side as well as the fundamentals to succeed in pro ball. I am getting taught some of the same things he taught me with my time with the Mallards. I gained knowledge of understanding of how to prepare and what is needed to succeed. I was lucky enough to get drafted and continue playing. I can say that Tyler helped me take that leap to the next level with his knowledge of how to teach the game the right way to me with my time in Madison."

  • Justin Scanlon- SS for Madison College, Madison Mallards and Michigan State

“Tyler taught me the basic mechanics to a proper swing. I came to school as a raw hitter with many flaws and in a short time I saw results. He turned me into a polished hitter with solid fundamentals which in return always gave me a chance at the plate. On the defensive side of the game this really took off with the work of Tyler. I came to school making way too many errors and didn't really understand the little nuances of how to play defense. By the end of my time being coached by Tyler I earned a scholarship to Michigan State and was Big10 defensive infielder of the year."

  • Tanner Vavra- Infielder for Madison College, Valparaiso University and Minnesota Twins (2013 Draft)

“Tyler helped me grow as a ball player both offensively and defensively. His knowledge of the game is great and he has been able to both coach and play at a high level. He has been around the game a long time and his contributions to not only my growth as a player but to the team growth are tremendous. Tyler can teach any player more about the game and can help the player take his/her game to another level. I would highly recommend players use Tyler as a source to further their game.”

  • J.R. Graham-IF/Pitcher Santa Clara University, Madison Mallards and Pitcher for Atlanta Braves (2011 Draft)

"Tyler taught me the understanding of the game that to this day I still execute. I was a dual guy with time in Madison and he helped me as a position guy as well as pitching side. His mental approach is something I still use in my career. When I listen to our position guys talk about hitting and fielding it is the same I was hearing from Tyler. He is a guy who any baseball player can benefit from. I have been in big league camp and know what it takes and Tyler preaches the same stuff being taught up there. He has a way of going about his business that truly makes you enjoy him as a person as well as a coach.

  • Jake Esch RHP/INF Georgia Tech: Miami Marlins (2010 Draft)

"Working with Tyler enhanced my knowledge of the game and fine tuned my fundamental skill. Everyday with him was a new learning experience. He provided extra motivation and hunger for learning more. Tyler's understanding of the game influenced me during the summer I worked with him and lived on through my college career and now in my professional career. Without the time and effort he put in to make me a better baseball player, I wouldn't be where I am today."

WHAT YOU'LL GET...

When players become a part of the family, they experience our unique environment that develops the person first and the player second. We wake up everyday wanting to help players with their purpose and process, while at the same time never taking for granted the opportunity to get to know how someone thinks.

We aim to speak your language and create a plan that maximizes your mindset. We try to be the best listener in order to completely understand what the hitter’s / fielder's strengths and weaknesses are. We then take that information and begin to formulate a plan to maximize the hitter’s / fielder's ability and potential.

We enjoy pushing hitters / fielders to think in order to truly develop. The ultimate goal is to “Know Yourself.” By putting the onus on the player, we aim to show them how to take ownership of their approach and ultimately their career.

If you feel we can be of benefit to you and your career, feel free to contact me to discuss how we can help.
